Wattpad releases iPad ebook app

eBook self-publishing community Wattpad has announced the availability of its mobile application for Apple’s iPad tablet. The app, which has previously been released for the iPhone, has been re-designed to make full use of the iPad’s large screen.

“iPad is one of the most anticipated products since the iPhone,” said Allen Lau, CEO of Wattpad. “Today we are unveiling our latest creation simultaneously with iPad’s general availability.”

Lau has previously described the iPad as “a game changer for eBooks”.

Wattpad has been available on the iPod Touch and iPhone since the beginning of 2009 and the describes rolling out support for the iPad as a “natural extension”.
