Sony’s new Pocket and Touch eBook readers go on sale at Waterstones today with each purchaser promised a free download of Dan Brown’s highly anticipated The Lost Symbol when its published in eBook format.
The 5″ screen pocket edition is being sold for £179.99 with the 6″ Touch retailing for £249.99. Following Sony’s recent update of its software both devices support Macs as well as PCs.
Both models were unveiled by Sony last month causing UK retailers to cut the price of the manufacturer’s now withdrawn PRS-505 model which has led the UK’s take up of eBooks.
The company has also announced a wireless model, the Sony Daily Edition, which is not yet available in the UK.
