New eBook conversion tool released for Mac computers

A new software package which can convert book manuscripts from standard word processor files into eBooks has been released for Apple’s mac computer range.

Legend Maker 1.0 can auto-format titles Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony Reader, and other ePub-compatible devices and, according to developers, requires no HTML or coding knowledge to use.

The software is based on tools used by developer ZappTek to produce eBooks for the iPhone and is available as a download for $99.

“As readers become increasingly comfortable with eBooks, more and more authors will have an opportunity to find an audience,” observed ZappTek Founder Michael Zapp. “Using Legend Maker, a very easy-to-use application, any author or publisher can quickly convert any book manuscript into a professionally formatted eBook.”
