Kindle titles come to PCs

Published: 11 November 2009 Written by: Chris Jones No Comment

240px-Kindle_2_-_FrontPC users are now able to download and enjoy Amazon Kindle titles on their computer, removing the need for the wallet-busting Kindle reader.

A Mac version of the software, available to download from Amazon.com, is also promised but in the meantime you need a PC running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, or Windows Vista or Windows 7 to use it.

The software allows users to download titles straight to their computer but currently lacks Kindle newspapers, magazines, and blogs.

Amazon says purchased books can also be read on a Kindle so you can still access your books on the move.
