Google has made a million public domain titles in its Google Books library available for download in EPUB format.
In a blog post the search engine giant said the move would “enable people to access these books in more places, on more devices and through more applications.”
The decision to back EPUB comes after Sony announced it’s to convert its eBook store to the industry-standard EPUB format by the end of this year and stop selling titles in its own proprietary ebook format.
